Why the iphone will be the biggest gaming platform ever
Ok, for a start the iphone is already a great gaming platform.
Here are some things to consider.
- Its always with you.
- Its small – games are cheap
- easy to play.
Currently world wide there have been about 30 million iphones sold. That’s a hell of a lot. And the best thing about that is the target market is huge. All ages own iphones so the offering is massive, its target market is everyone… (who can afford it.) I dont see how the PSP or the DS lite can really compete.
And now with the new 3GS processor we are going to see bigger,badder and faster games. I think we will soon see Nintendo and possibly Sony start to develop for the iphone. I don’t think it will hurt there current market by doing so but perhaps enhance there own handset market share. If people really enjoy there games then they will go buy the handset to get the full experience, perhaps even we will see demo downloads in the apple store for the DS and PSP?

While sitting on the bus, train or waiting for the wife while she is getting a wax its the perfect tool. So if you think the iphone is over priced remember all that it does… phone, camera, email, internet, remote, gaming, GPS, ipod of course and PDA…. whats next?
