Top 10 Free Apps on the Net

The best free apps on the internet. Everyone should have these apps so if you don’t get downloading. Our top ten’s cant be beaten!

1. Google Apps. Gmail cant be beaten and google doc’s are a great replacement for office.

2. Drop Box

Dropbox provides 2gb of free online storage. Install the application and your online 2gb shared drive is there to use. I use several different machines and  operating systems so its handy to have those everyday files at hand no matter where or what I’m on. And its Free of course!

3. Firefox – The best browser in the world! It may not be the quickest but all the add-on features make it the most powerfull and usefull. ITs also very secure.

4. utorrent – A very light weight and easy to use bittorrent client. If you dont know how to use bittorrent check out my older artical.

5. VLC player – VLC player will play anything, even damaged video files, rip dvd’s, convert video to other formats. There isnt much it wont do. Its a must have!

6. itunes – Its apples media player. I think its easy to use and works well with the itunes store. I’m an iphone user so I like it!

7.  Picasa  – a very power photo management application. Allows you to edit photos apply photoshop like touches and an easy to use interface.

8. Skype. – the best video chat tool around. Comes in handy when you need to catch up with the Mrs’s when your away from home.

9. irip – rip your ipod music to your hard drive. I get asked how to do this all the time. Its a great app and these blokes need some help. Bill Gates is trying to get these guys shutdown. Even if they are Ausy’s they make good software.

10. AVG anti Virus Free Edition. – I like these guys they provide great free support against virus’s and other crap that can sneak onto your machine. Its easy to use install and configure. Best of all it works!
