Redneck America always surprises and delights. I love the way they don’t have passports, but think that they are worldly if they have travelled as far as Hawaii for their overseas experience (Mexico doesn’t count – it’s full of Mexicans).

This delightful story comes from Jefferson City, Missouri…… where? Here:

A gentleman by the name of Christopher Shaw (no apparent relation to the JFK assassination co-conspirator Clay Shaw) hails from “them thar parts”.

Mr Shaw, an employee of Break Time convenience store, who earns US 7.25 per hour has come to the attention of America for winning a US 258 million lottery last week.

Shaw, who describes himself as an “average guy” proudly stated the he only has $28.96 in his bank account and struggles to provide for his three kids (to two different women) and his girlfriend (and her two kids, who he considers his own, “even though they ain’t”). Here is the man of the moment:

I is going to Disney World!!

Asked what he is going to do with his millions, he states that he is going to pay off his electric and gas bills, along with the loan from his mate for his $1,000.00 1998 Ford ranger.

As an after thought, Chris adds he and his now very proud and loving family (inclusive of the ex’s who now think that he is a good guy after all) would “take a trip to Disney World in Florida…… and oh yeah, I might see about getting me some of those fancy white teeth”.

After the interview, Shaw was alleged to have stated that he would feel a bit weird about having someone else’s teeth in his mouth, but if the rich folk do it, then they must have brushed them for at least 5 minutes before sticking them in, so that would be ok.
