Awesome America
Lesson 4: The happy American ending
Hollywood ensure the feelgood factor ensues through their many films. In the American way, these can be a little OTT for anyone outside of America.
Then there is the go too far Americanised movies. Enigma is a movie about BRITISH troops getting hold of the German encrypting machine. Not that the movie has British accents anywhere near the moment when Allied forces get their mits on the device.
Today is Independence Day in the US. Their celebration of not being British (a lot of ex-colonies can relate to this) has been a big part of the American calendar since 1776. I have $10 on that a good part of Americans actually think the national holiday is in recognition of Will Smith saving not only America, but the world from Aliens. These will be the same Americans that say Morgan Freeman was their first black President.
Gotta love them.
