Imagine you are a small business, struggling in the wake of a recession that was whipped up by media scare tactics.

Living by the old saying “You gotta spend money to make money” you take a gamble.

After looking up marketing on Wikipedia, you decide on a mail drop.

You have carefully considered your target market, your hook and how your mail drop will stand out in a bulging letter box. You approach a printing company your slightly mentally challenged cousin recommended. They help with the design & layout.

They print your propaganda on card and in colour. It looks great.

You get you fliers out into the suburbs and then wait for the phone to start ringing off the hook.

It doesn’t. You get paranoid. You wonder why your investment isn’t working. You take a closer look at your flier, but still cant figure it out.

Mid winter bookings?! Isn't it spring in a couple of weeks?

I'm keen! Now to give them a call......

You then realise that some smart arse that happens to write on a website has figured it out, and sarcastically states:

It helps if you add contact details and/or your location. I would love to partake in 2 for 1′s, I’m a big fan of them. Only problem is I don’t know where you are and what food is on your menu. Good to know you sell alcohol that is cheap, but you are taunting me with these prices and no location. Why would you do that?! Why??!!

It is too hard to google you to find out, but it is fun pointing out your stupidity.
