What would it take to get the Beatles reunited? Two bullets.

If it were possible to see the fab four together I think that I would absolutely lose the plot. It would be a head(s) explosion on an atomic scale. Alas, without the mastery and grit of the great John Lennon and the slight of hand of a George Harrison guitar, Paul and Ringo would be just too nice.

The same goes for another British group that have carved their names into the mighty Oaks that tower above your bye bye Britney’s and your 2013 won’t remember you Lady (you actually are) Gaga’s. These lads go under the guise of Pink Floyd.

Rick Wright is chilling on the end of a heavenly organ now, but the two masters are still on earth.

Pink Floyd was at the peak of it’s powers when David Gilmour and Roger Waters liked each other. Albums like Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall were constructed around Waters’ ability to think outside the universe and Gilmour’s mastery on the gat.

Unfortunately for the world these two fell out and Waters got kicked to the curb and was really bitter about it.

A glimmer of hope arranged by magician Sir Bob Geldolf in 2005 for Live 8 saw the band back together for 3 songs and man was that a sight to see. I think the only person happier than me to see that was Waters himself. Still nothing came about and Gilmour later stated that Waters was dreaming if he thought he was back in.

Mr B. Bird, myself and my brother made a pact last year that if, somehow, two supernovas could exist in one place at the same time, mortgages would be sort, fundraisers would be held and we would be there with no expense spared.

Emotion would run high, man love would be free to exist in plain sight, planets would align – it would be epic on an epic scale!!!

Rumours have been rife for a wee while that there was a possibility of a Gilmour/Waters tour coming in 2012.

Fuel to the fire came last Thursday at London’s O2 arena when during Roger’s concert Gilmour made an appearance to perform his part of Comfortably Numb:

Grown men cried it was reported in the English papers the following day. Amen brothers, amen.
