Sweet Monday Melodies
Procal Harum were a bit of a one hit wonder band who hit it big with this song A Whiter Shade of Pale during the summer of love in 1967.
The haunting organ lead dominates the song and although the demeanour of it suggests that you should be suicidal, the lyrics are generally upbeat in a very acid-influenced kind of way. The song is vague enough for anyone to go about their own path to find one common theme – the truth man, the truth.
Outstanding use of flower patterned shirts and pastel colours.
